Wamendagri encourages the ASN area to Bresh leaders of character and visionary

Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (WamendAgri) Bima Arya Sugiarto encouraged the birth of leaders with character and visionary within the State Civil Device (ASN). Bima emphasized that the quality of a leader is determined by character, competence and vision. He invited the prospective leaders to dare to set major goals and not half measures. The encouragement was conveyed by him when he delivered a speech in the Administrator Leadership Training (PKA) and the Supervisory Leadership Training (PKP) in the Gunung Ged Hall, the Bandung Regional Human Resources Development Center (PPSDM), Sumedang Regency, West Java, today. And if we miss, you will fall between the stars,” Bima said in a written statement on Monday (9/22/2025). Bima reminded that every leader on the bureaucratic journey with a choice has to face, becomes a transforming actor who brings change or just transactions that base policies on one -sided interests. “Life is an option. Basically when we become part of the bureaucracy, we are actually in the intersection of the road. On the intersection of the road to choose many choices. And the choice is in the hands of the Father,” says Bima. Furthermore, Bima explained the four leadership model matrices, namely fighting, looser, skilled and unskilled. He emphasized that there are leaders who have the ability (skilled) but do not have the soul of fighter (fight), and vice versa there are leaders who are souls of fighters, although their skills are not qualified. “Because if you already have a warring passion, the power will accompany (and it will) continue to be upgraded (his abilities). He will conquer anything,” Bima pressed. In addition, decision -making in momentum is also an important factor for a leader. To describe this, Bima connects the theory of momentum in physics with leadership. He explained that momentum was not created without a mass that reflects the quality of the self, as well as speeds that describe movement and skills. According to him, the quality of leadership and dexterity in the performance of the policy must therefore be in harmony to pick up momentum. “For politicians, for leaders, Momentum is the youngest friend. Momentum is not only waiting, but the momentum has been created,” he said. Bima called on PKA and PKP participants to be careful in managing the bureaucracy. According to his experience, many traps can hinder the realization of policies, such as ceremonial traps and political traps. “(The trap makes us out) our time. Without us aware. This is what I remind you of (ASN) that has just been inaugurated,” he said. When he closed his presentation, Bima advised that each ASN performed his duties as well as possible, because every service would receive a reward worthwhile from God. “Yes, just wait. God willingly, soon beautiful in time. If it’s not in the world, it can be in the afterlife,” Bima concluded. For information, this activity was also attended by the Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDM) Suggeng Hariyono, head of Bandung Regional PPSDM Indra Maulana Syamsul Arief, and PKA and PKP participants from different regions that followed hybrid.
