Jakarta – Former commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Danpaspampres) during the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Young Marshal (Marsda) Wahyu Hidayat Sudjatmiko, has died. The TNI mourns the release of Marshal Wahyu Hidayat. The news of Marsda Wahyu’s passing was relayed by the official Paspampres account on Sunday (19/10/2025). The entire Paspampres extended family expressed their deepest condolences on the demise of a leader who was known to be authoritative and highly dedicated during his tenure. Died due to illness Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General TNI Wahyu Yudhayana said that the deceased died due to illness. We pray that the late Husnul Khatimah and the family left behind will be given strength and perseverance,” Brigadier General Wahyu told reporters on Sunday (19/10/2025). Marsda Wahyu’s body was laid to rest at the funeral home at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base Complex, East Jakarta, before being buried at Jatisari Indonesian Air Force’s Bahagia Cemetery (TMB), Bekasi, West Java. Marsda Wahyu Hidayat died in Mayapada Hospital. Marsda Wahyu Hidayat was born on September 16, 1971 and graduated from the Air Force Academy (AAU) at the Rapid Action Force Command Corps (Kopasgat) in 1993. He is known as a professional soldier with a long record in the military world, especially in the field of security and elite troops. In 2022, Marsda Wahyu was appointed commander of Paspampres to replace Major General Tri Budi Utomo. His appointment by the TNI Commander at the time, General Andika Perkasa, also made the Kopasgat Corps and TNI AU proud as Marsda Wahyu became the first Air Force Danpaspampres. After serving as Danpaspampres for a year, his career continued as commander of the Rapid Action Force Command (Dankopasgat) in 2023. He was then entrusted to serve as Special Staff for the Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU). The promotions and transfers are stated in the TNI commander’s decree number Kep/1384/XI/2023 regarding dismissal from and appointment to positions within the TNI. Paspampres expresses deepest condolences The extended Paspampres family expresses deepest condolences on the passing of Marsda Wahyu. The deceased was known as an exemplary figure who left the values of loyalty and honor to every soldier. “Goodbye Commander. The name and services will always live on in every Paspampres soldier,” wrote the statement which was uploaded in collaboration with Paspampres Commander Major Edwin Adrian Sumantha. Paspampres also held a prayer service at the funeral home as a form of final respect. “The extended Paspampres family carries memories, guiding the deceased to eternal peace and paying their last respects to the figure of the 28th Paspampres commander,” the statement wrote. Paspampres considers Marsda Wahyu’s departure as a great loss for the TNI family. The deceased was known for having warm leadership and high discipline during his tenure. “The passing of the deceased is a deep loss to the TNI family, especially to all Paspampres soldiers who felt the warm touch of his leadership,” the official Paspampres account wrote. Paspampres prays that Marsda Wahyu’s charity will be accepted and that the bereaved family will be given strength. “May the deceased be accepted for all his acts of worship, get the best place by his side, and the family left behind will be given steadfastness, steadfastness and sincerity,” the Paspampres report wrote.
