Cilegon – Free nutritious food kitchen (MBG) volunteers in Cilegon, Banten participated in training on the implementation of MBG for students at school. They are trained in how to hygienically wash kitchen utensils until the distribution process to avoid poisoning. The MBG kitchen staff were trained by experts from the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), Health Service, Environment Service and nutritionists. On this occasion, volunteers were provided with information about the nutritional content of each cooked food and how to manage used food waste so that it does not pollute the kitchen environment. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT “So for the SPPGs currently participating in technical guidance for food handlers, all of them are from Cilegon City, a total of 13 SPPGs, in 1 SPPG they supervise 50 volunteers,” said the coordinator of the National Food Agency (BGN) for Serang Region/Syahr/209ro/Syahr/5 on Sunday. Syahrurrozi said there are currently 13 MBG kitchens in Cilegon. Each SPPG sent 50 kitchen staff to participate in training with these experts. “Kitchen volunteers, from the cooking preparation team, packaging, oven washing, distribution, all receive food handling training without exception,” he said. Syahrurrozi confirmed that the thirteen MBG kitchens have been verified as hygienic by the relevant authorities. He stressed that his party continues to improve management so that the MBG poisoning case experienced by students does not happen again. “Right now, all of them have been verified or participated in SLHS training from the Health Office, from BGN, which we are currently conducting. Regarding this rampant case, our response will be corrected so that these cases in the past will not happen again,” he said.
