The severity of Parkinson disease can increase the bacteria of the mouth and bowel: study
New -Delhi, June 10 (IANS). A new study has shown that bacteria present in the mouth and intestines can make the problem of memory and low-concept capacity in Parkinson’s disease. This research was conducted by scientists at King’s College London, which found that changes in bowel bacteria could further spoil the symptoms of the disease. It is very difficult to identify Parkinson’s in its early stages; These changes in microbiome can serve as the initial signs of the disease, which can help doctors detect and treat them in time. Dr Saeed Shoa, researcher at Kings College, said: “Bacteria of the mouth and intestines affect brain -related diseases. The imbalance of this can affect inflammation and immune system, which damage the brain.” The study published in the journal ‘Gut Microbes’ analyzed saliva and feces of 228 people. There were two groups of Parkinson patients. One saw light cognitive problems and the other had dementia problems. They were compared to healthy people. The results found that people who had cognitive problems had more harmful bacteria in the intestines, which probably reached the intestines from the mouth. This is called ‘oral-ghat transplocation’, where the bacteria of the mouth enter the intestines and produce inflammation and toxins, which can damage the brain. Research colleague, dr. Frederick Klassen said: “We do not know if these bacteria are causes of cognitive decline or grow due to illness, but it deepens the symptoms.” With the help of artificial intelligence, these bacteria and their toxins have been identified, which can help for future treatment. -Ians mt/as part this story tags
