Tour UK Yatra: US President Trump spoke of good relationships with Premier Modi

Washington, September 18 (IANS). US President Donald Trump spoke on Thursday about Indo-American relations and his recent telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said he is very close to India and has very good relationships with the Indian Prime Minister. Trump remembers his conversation with Premier Modi at a press conference with British Prime Minister Kir Stmper before ending his visit to the UK on Thursday. Trump said: “I have a very good relationship with India. I have a very good relationship with the Prime Minister of India. A few days ago I congratulated him on his birthday. Our relationship is very good.” For the first time in a few months, Trump called Premier Modi and congratulated the 75th birthday Tuesday. Prime Minister Modi described Trump in a post on X as his ‘friend’ and thanked him for congratulating him. PM Modi wrote: “My friend President Trump, thank you for your phone and best wishes on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am fully committed to taking Indo-Us Wide and Global Partnership to New Heights. We support your efforts for peaceful solutions to Ukraine conflict.” President Trump also placed the truth on social and described the phone call as “brilliant” and thanked him for his support in an effort to end the battle in Ukraine. He said: “My friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a good phone call. I wished him a happy birthday. He is doing a good job. Narendra Modi: Thank you for your support in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.” This phone call took place on the same day when Brendan Lynch, assistant of the US trade representative for South and Central Asia, held a trade conversations with the main trade with India Rajesh Aggarwal in Delhi. Both sides described the conversation as ‘positive’. At the press conference, Trump also said he is ready to take action against Russia, but only when other European countries also join.
