The police and traffic department conducted a special surveillance campaign in which summonses were issued to wrongly parked vehicles. Due to crowd in the markets there was pressure on the roads, to deal with which the police diverted the routes and suggested alternative routes. On Sunday, on the occasion of Chhoti Diwali, the police and traffic department conducted a special surveillance campaign. Challans were issued for haphazardly parked vehicles. Vehicles were checked by erecting barricades at major intersections like Pari Chowk, Alpha Chowk, LG Roundabout, Surajpur, Yamaha Tiraha, Hanuman Murti Roundabout and Greater Noida West area. The teams continued to patrol throughout the day. At the moment, crowds of people gathered on the streets in a rush to return home after festival shopping. Long lines of vehicles formed towards Pari Chowk, Tughlaqpur, Aichhar, Rampur, Surajpur and Kulesara. Due to less parking space around the markets, people parked their vehicles haphazardly on the roadside, leading to traffic jams. The traffic police have issued invitations to those who violate the rule not to park. To control the situation, the police suggested alternative routes and diverted vehicles.
