Sam Pitroda's elucidation on Pakistan remark, 'Shared history and relationships between people wanted to highlight relationships'

New -Delhi, September 19 (IANS). Sam Pitroda, head of the Indian overseas congress, described the neighborhood policy as important to India in a special conversation with Ians, saying that he felt at home like home in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is an attacker on his statement. Sam Pitroda clarified his statement. Sam Pitroda posted on social media platform X and said that I wanted to clear my statement and keep it in the full context of my IANS interview. My goal has always been to draw attention to the realities we face, such as issues related to the election process, the importance of civil society and youth and the role of India in our environment or worldwide. He said that when I said that during the journey of neighboring countries, I often feel ‘home -like’, or that our roots are shared culturally and socially, my intention was to emphasize the shared history and relationships between people, not to ignore the serious challenges arising from suffering, struggle or terrorism and geopolitical tension. Likewise, when I challenged the concept of ‘Vishwaguru’ and said that it is a myth that India is always the center of everyone’s thinking, I mean to emphasize the image on the image instead of exaggeration. Foreign policy must be based on the actual impact, mutual faith, peace and regional stability, not on appearance or hollow claims. Sam Pitroda further said that we must protect democracy, ensure free and fair elections, strengthen institutions, empower youth, protect minority rights and oppose the politics of division. These are not party issues, it is the center of our national identity and values. He said that if someone confused with my words, I would make it clear that my purpose was to never underestimate anyone’s suffering or ignore legal problems, but to promote honest communication, sympathy and a more solid and responsible approach, which India sees itself and the world. As I move forward, I am committed to working transparency, reverent dialogue and working on a future where we strengthen our institutions, civil society, safety and safety, so that our actions really meet our ideals. -Ians DKP/ Share these Story Tags
