Railway police have been instructed to control the crowd on the lines of Mahakumbh 2025. Parking at Patna Junction has been closed and holding areas have been created for passengers. In the guidelines issued by Railway ADG, it has been said that due to elections this year more people will move through trains on Chhath compared to last year. Many special trains are also run. All railway police have been asked to obtain the list of these trains and make a crowd control strategy on the lines of Mahakumbh 2025. In case of any incident or information received by news media, instructions have been given to verify it and report to the ADG control room within ten minutes. Railway administration has made preparations on Chhath on a grand scale. To ensure security, the main parking lot of Patna Junction has been closed from today. This system will be in effect from 24 October to 2 November. During this period, no vehicle will be allowed to park in the main parking lot of the junction. Abhinav Siddharth, senior commercial manager of Danapur Railway Division, said that during Chhath Puja, the movement of passengers increases significantly in Patna Junction and surrounding areas. In such a situation, the main parking lot is closed and the space is kept empty for the movement of passengers. Of the two parking stands made for vehicles coming to the Mahavir Temple, the main parking lot will remain closed, while the new parking stand near GPO at the western end will remain operational. The main parking lot on the Karbigahiya side and the parking lot on the western side will also be open for vehicles. Special facilities will be provided to railway passengers. The main parking lot on the Bighiya side and the parking lot on the west side will also be open to vehicles. Special arrangements made for the convenience of passengers. Danapur Division has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of railway passengers. Three holding areas have been created at Patna Junction, with a total capacity of 7,500 passengers. Two holding areas at Danapur Junction, each with a capacity of 4,500 passengers. There is a holding area at the Rajendra Nagar terminal, which can accommodate 1,200 passengers. All holding areas are equipped with CCTV cameras, ‘May I help you’ desk, drinking water facilities, first aid, announcement system, train indication boards and mobile ticketing facility. Instructions were given not to change the platform of trains at the last minute. To control crowd, major railway stations have been asked to create holding areas in collaboration with the railway management. There are instructions to get information about train departure time, delay, platform etc. on a large display board outside the railway station itself. In view of the incidents of stampede due to sudden change of platform in the past, instructions have been given not to change the platform at the last moment during the festival season. RPF was also instructed to make a strategy in collaboration with the railway administration to control the return crowd. Patna: During the evening and morning Arghya of Chhath, trains will run slowly on the railway bridges and railway tracks near the ghats, Railway Police has requested the GM of East Central Railway, Hajipur to make the trains run slowly by blowing horns on the railway bridges and railway tracks near the ghats. It was said in the letter that a large number of devotees were offering Arghya at the ghats built along the railway line. A large number of devotees start arriving late in the evening on the first day and from late at night to offer Arghya in the morning. In such a situation, keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, security arrangements should be made at sensitive places.
