Transformer theft in Charkhi Dadri thieves steal core within 60 minutes

The video of this theft incident has also surfaced. The police are investigating the case and efforts are being made to catch the thieves. Early in the morning, two young thieves damaged the transformer installed on the pole and stole a copper coil (heart) from Premnagar Colony. After the matter was brought under the notice of Jagran reporter on Tuesday, the Electricity Corporation took notice of the theft incident. The resident of the said colony provided six different videos of the thieves to Jagran reporter on condition of anonymity. There is a six-second video in which a thief stands in front of a pillar and watches over the street. The second video is 45 seconds long and in this both the thieves are seen standing under the pillar and talking while one thief, after rubbing some liquid on their hands, is seen climbing the wall by placing his foot on the other’s shoulder. The third video is of 12 seconds in which the second thief stands behind a pillar near the wall and smears some liquid on his hands. The fourth video is 13 seconds long and in it the thief removes the copper coil from the transformer. The fifth video is of 53 seconds in which both thieves are seen climbing the pole and taking out the copper coil. The sixth video is about one minute long and shows the thieves jumping off the wall and running away after keeping the stolen goods on the bike. The resident of the colony who provided the video knocked at 3:15 in the morning, said two thieves riding a bicycle reached the street of APS School around 3.15 on Monday morning. They first walked around a bit and then smeared some liquid on their hands and started committing the crime. At 4:15 in the morning he ran away holding the coil from the transformer on the bike. The cost of the transformer is Rs 70 thousand. The capacity of the transformer from which the copper coil was stolen is 16 KV. Its price is around 70 thousand rupees. According to the Corporation SDO, it is not possible to remove the transformer coil from the moving line. It is suspected that the crime was committed by moving the cargo to another line. A report was obtained from the area in charge of the incident. This matter was not previously in my knowledge. We did the check and found that the copper coil of the transformer was stolen.
