Trump government will give a new challenge to H-1B visa holders, after 88 lakh fees, there could be a major change in the rules
People who are looking for work in America are going to get another shock. The H-1B visa is the preferred option for immigrants from other countries looking for work in the United States. US President Donald Trump’s government has already imposed a duty of $ 100,000 (about £ 88 Lakh) on it. Now the Trump government is tightening the H-1B visa rules further. They prepare them to further tighten the rules on who are eligible for this visa and how this permit can be used. The US Department of Home Security has proposed a rule change in its regulatory agenda to change the H-1B visa category. The proposal is entitled “Reformation of the H-1B-not-immigrant visa classification program.” The proposal contains various technical aspects, such as “the application of suitability for the exemption of thresholds, an increasing investigation of companies that violate the program’s suitability requirements, and increase third-party oversight.” In addition, there are other suggestions as well. It is currently unclear whether the Department of Home Security plans to release the sectors and positions of the annual CAP on H-1B visas. Consider: The United States has a limitation on the number of H-1B visas that can be issued annually. The limit is 65,000 visas per year. However, there are some areas for which this limit does not apply. Individuals with a master’s degree or higher of an American university are exempt from the $ 20,000 visa. According to a report in Newsweek, if the Trump administration changes the exemption boundaries, the move can affect non-profit research organizations, universities and health care institutions currently released. “These changes are intended to improve the integrity (ie abuse) of the H-1B non-immigrant program and better protect the wages and working conditions of American workers,” the proposal states. These changes are expected to affect thousands of Indian students and young professionals who want to work in the US. According to regulatory information, these new rules may come into effect in December 2025. Share these story marks
