Kylie Minogue postponed four European tour programs due to illness, says 'I have no choice but to ...' | Mint
Pop icon Kylie Minogue was forced to postpone four of her emerging suspense travel programs after she became ill with Laryngitis. The singer, who recently wrapped the British leg of her first global tour in seven years, shared the news on Friday with fans by a deep message on social media. In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Minogue explained that, although she could complete 14 shows in the UK – including four nights in the O2 arena in London – she was now hit by a viral infection. “Hello Laryngitis,” she wrote and confirmed the diagnosis and expressed disappointment over the unexpected break. She wrote: ‘Hello lovers, as some of you know, a week ago we completed the British leg of the suspense journey. I made it over the finish line, but unfortunately succumbed to a viral infection (Hello Laryngitis). I tried my best to recover quickly to start our next track, but I’m afraid it will take me a few days not to be the best, and I’m so sorry! in Berlin, Lodz, Kaunas and Tallinn as scheduled. The affected performances include performances in Berlin, Poland (Lodz), Lithuania (Kaunas) and Estonia (Tallinn), which would all start from Monday. The Tension Tour is the 16th in Minogue’s career and follows the global success of her 2023 Single ‘Padam Padam’, which has received a widespread popularity – also in the United States – and helped her recent Las Vegas stay. Minogue has assured fans that all efforts are being made to reschedule the missed European dates and advised them to keep their tickets. She ends her message with a note of gratitude and says she will miss and look forward to returning to the stage. After her European tour, Kylie plans to continue with dates in South America and Mexico later this year.
