Twins 13-game winning streak ends as Jackson Chourios Big Catch Preserves 5-2 victory for Brewers

Milwaukee (AP) -Jackson Chourio robbed Royce Lewis of a potential binding Homer in the eighth inning, and Milwaukee Brewers finished with a 5-2 victory on Sunday with a 5-2 win. Isaac Collins and Frelick each rode in two runs to help the Brewers end the second longest winning streak in the twin history. The twins won 15 in 1991, a season ending with a World Series title. Minnesota led 4-2 when Lewis, who had already hit his first Homer of the season in the fourth inning, sent a long drive to the left center against Nick Mears with a runner-up in second place. Circuit Rio dropped his jump perfectly and reached his glove over the wall to make the catch. Rhys Hoskins had a sacrificial fly in the bottom half, and Trevor Megill worked the ninth for his sixth rescue. In second place, Frelick singled out the House Christian Yelich. It hit Minnesota’s 34 straight turns string, a twin record. Milwaukee expanded the lead to 4-0 in third place. Collins added a base-loaded, two-out ankle and Frelick an RBI singles. Twins starting batsman Zebby Matthews (0-1) came up from the minors and gave up four runs and five strokes in three innings. Freddy Peralta (5-3) from Milwaukee allowed one run over five innings. After cutting Milwaukee’s lead to 4-1 in fourth place, the twins loaded the bases with two outs. Peralta ended the threat by retiring Ryan Jeffers on a fly to the right. The Brewers have never become scoreless in a series of three games, although they were excluded in the first two games of each of their last two. They won 9-5 on Cleveland after leading 5-0 and 2-0, with a three-match home series against Cleveland. Monday’s scheduled standouts are a twin right hand Bailey Ober (4-1, 3.72 era) and guardians Lefty Logan Allen (2-2, 3.70). The Brewers start a home series of three games against Baltimore.
