Inspector Mahavir Singh Chauhan said that in this fraud case two accused Monu alias Mehboob alias Mahmood Hasan and Rahish Malik were arrested from Joshadhara Industrial Area in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. During interrogation, the accused told that they were working with Aksha Recycling and Waste Management Firm, whose director is Shadab. Sonu had earlier sent details of fake accounts to both the accused on WhatsApp. After this, buy and sell notes of Sant Steel, Kotdwar Steel and Supreme Steel were made. The fake accounts prepared were sent on WhatsApp to Shadab’s associates, Mohammad Nadeem Saifi and Sameer. After this, account and weighbridge slips were made from fake VAT invoices, so that the transport work could be made easier. After this, files were prepared using fake accounts to get GST and avail input tax credit. Shadab and his associates used to get GST through this file. The arrested Rahish Malik is the director of Sant Steel Factory in Kotdwar, where there has never been any purchase or sale of scrap. According to Inspector Mahavir Singh Chauhan, accused Rahish Malik only signed bank checks and other documents of the firm. Iron bars are made in the steel factory, where original bills were made, on the basis of which fake bills of 100 times GST were prepared. The Khalapar police station exposed the making of fake GST bills by raiding ZK complex on August 27. Two accused Mohammad Nadeem Saifi and Mohammad Sameer were caught from here. Four laptops, three printing machines, three mobile phones, 120 files, 18 transport receipts and other equipment for printing fake bills were recovered from their possession.
