Two soldiers missing in Jammu and Kashmir are looking for the operation affected by bad weather

Srinagar, October 8 (IANS). The Indian army said on Wednesday that two soldiers went missing during an anti-terrorist operation in the Koker Night area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anant night district and bad weather hampered the intensive search for their trail. During the operation, two army staff lost contact with their team in the higher reach of the Koker night area. On the night of October 6 and 7, an operational team in the Kishtwar series faced serious snowstorm and icy winds in the mountains of South Kashmir. Since then, the two soldiers have lost contact. Intensive search and rescue operations have been launched, but are hampered by unfavorable weather. Earlier, an official source said that a massive search operation in the densely wooded area had been launched to locate the soldiers, who may have lost contact with their team over the past two days due to bad weather in the area. The source said the two soldiers got lost from their team due to the recent snowfall due to poor visibility and inaccessible terrain. The soldiers were part of a small team that launched a cordon and search operation in the vicinity on Tuesday. Since then, contact with him has not been determined. Helicopters were also deployed to help ground troops in the search operations. The source further said that the army, other security forces and local police are conducting search operations in the forests to locate the two soldiers. Joint forces, including the army, other security forces and Jammu and Kashmir police, export aggressive counter-terrorism operations against terrorists, their operative workers (OGWs) and supporters to dissolve the entire network of terror in the Union area. Security agencies of both the center and the Union area seized properties of terrorists, their activists and supporters, except those involved in drug trafficking and smuggling. –Is MS/DKP Share This Story Tags
