Udaipur, September 11 (IANS). Rajasthan tourists are trapped there because of the recently extensive violence and unstable political situation in Nepal. Udaipur BJP leader Anil Singhal, with his family, is trapped there. His return flight was canceled for violence and arson, and they are safe in a hotel in Kathmandu. Anil Singhal confirmed in a telephone conversation with his brother that he was safe and that he was not necessary to panic. Other tourists who came to Nepal with him were also trapped there. However, all the Indian embassy is in contact and the situation awaits normal. BJP leader Anil Singhal’s brother Sunil Singhal told Ians that his brother left for Nepal a few days ago with his family. He went to Kathmandu to visit the temple of Pashupatinath and then reach Pokhara. But because of violence and unrest in Nepal, they stayed in a hotel in Kathmandu. His back flight was canceled when the violence began, and they got stuck there. Sunil said Anil talked to him on the phone yesterday and said he was safe and happy, although some hotels in the area were set on fire by protesters. He said the protesters set the same hotels on fire, which revealed the money of corrupt leaders or their family members. The hotel in which Anil lives is related to ordinary Korabari. He said that the brother expressed happiness in the conversation. The situation is expected to be normal in Nepal soon and that they will return to their homeland. According to some reports, about 700 tourists from the districts of Jaipur and Udaipur in Rajasthan were stranded in Nepal. The Government of India also monitors the situation in Nepal. Advice for Indians trapped there was also issued by the Indian embassy. -Ians DKM/ Share This Story Tags
