Himachal government will soon declare support price for potatoes
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today said the state government will soon announce the support price for the purchase of potatoes, except to set up potato processing plant at a cost of Rs 20 crore in the UNA district. The chief minister chaired the state level Multi-Hollower Consultation Conference, which was arranged here by Himachal Pradesh Revolution Rain-based agricultural network today. “The state government is constantly making efforts to strengthen the rural economy and will soon be declared a support price for potatoes to help farmers,” he said. Sukhu said that the state government promotes green energy and natural farming on a large scale. “The minimum support price for crops produced by natural farming has already been determined and it will be further increased in the coming time,” he said. He emphasized the importance of natural farming and said that many new schemes will be implemented in the coming year to promote rural economy. Share this story -tags
