Public welfare programs such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Good Governance Tihar and ‘Niyad Nellanar’ have brought profound changes to women’s lives here. While earlier women searched for hours to collect wood and in smoky kitchens, it has now cooked easier, safer and healthier to cook with LPG gas. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana provided thousands of women from the district of free gas connections. Earlier, women in rural areas not only had to waste time bringing wood out of the forests, but also had to have many problems during the rainy season. Eye irritation and breathing diseases due to smoky cuisine were also common. Now there is no smoke in the kitchen, but smile. Women say they are now saving time with LPG, through which they can better handle their children and other household chores. Programs such as Good Governance Tihar and ‘Niyad Nellanar’ have reduced the distance between management and the public. Now the benefits of government schemes and services easily reach every town. Rural women actively participate in self-help groups, nutrition campaigns and sanitation missions. Administrative officers regularly reach the towns and listen to the problems of the people and also give solutions. These initiatives have given a new direction to transparency and public participation in management. These schemes have led to a significant increase in women’s participation and empowerment. Women are not only running home now, but also becomes independent by engaging in work -oriented activities. They sell their products in the local markets, become financially strong by self -help groups and play their role in the development of the town. The village woman Neelima told Ians that the Borewell water is cleaner and drinkable than before. The same water is also used in Anganwadi. At the same time, Kamla also supported Neelima’s words. Kanta Bai and Rani said that since they got the gas stove under the Ujjwala scheme, there was a lot of relief. Earlier, when it cooked with wood, the smoke caused irritation in the eyes. For this, she thanks the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. Paluram and Suresh Kumar said that earlier due to the roads that were not paved, there were mud and that there were problems with transport, but now with the erection of paved roads, this problem was solved. Ramesh Kumar said there were earlier electricity problems, which allowed children to get water for studies and farming on time, but now the problem of electricity has been solved. The Bijapur district, which was earlier called a Naxal involved area, has now established an environment of safety and development. Roads are being built, electricity and internet reach towns, schools and health centers have increased. An atmosphere of peace and trust is visible in the villages. Local citizens say that after the arrival of the BJP government led by Premier Narendra Modi in the center and the BJP government of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai in Chhattisgarh, development works gained momentum.
