But to understand these things, we need to understand the ‘greenhouse effect’. Life on earth is possible because of the energy of the sun. The lights and heat coming out of the sun reach the earth and heat it. The earth absorbs the energy and heat of the sun and also leaves it back. If all the radiation of the earth goes into space again, it will freeze like snow and life is not possible. But this does not happen because there is an atmosphere around our earth, which contains carbon dioxide, methane and water, etc. They all stop a part of the heat. These gases are called greenhouse gas. It is exactly the same that the heat enters a closed glass car but cannot go out, which is why the temperature to support life on earth remains. Over the past few decades, there has been a lot of development in technology. As a result of the growing industry, many new factories have opened and vehicles driven by fuel have also increased. Factories and vehicles emit a number of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitric oxide. These gases are found in the atmosphere. The higher the greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, the more heat it will stop. It increases the average temperature of the earth, which we also call global warming. The atmosphere causes too many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, abnormal weather, glacial melting and sea level.
