The land of Rajasthan has always been known for service and devotion. People here still follow old traditions and values that teach us about the relationship between animals and humans. This spirit was once again seen in Chitradai village of Devgarh subdivision of Rajsamand district. Some youths of the village have set such a wonderful example of cow service that everyone praises them. You and I often see an ambulance or a vehicle being called to take a sick or injured person to hospital. But when it comes to dumb animals, people often become helpless. The youth of Chitradai village is different in this matter. For them cow service is not just a slogan but a part of their life. A cow moaned in pain. Last night a cow in the village became very sick. The youth saw his condition from there. They decided to have him treated immediately. But the biggest problem was how to take him to the hospital. There was no ambulance or any other large vehicle present in the town. When they saw the sick cow in pain, they couldn’t help but carry it. They took him to the hospital on a bicycle. What happened next was really surprising. Two or three youths gathered on bicycles. He carefully placed the cow on the bike and took him to the hospital. Whoever saw this scene saluted the spirit of this youth. It was not just a matter of taking the cow to the hospital, but it was a demonstration of humanity dying in today’s times. Seeing the relieved cow sitting on the bike after proper treatment felt like a family member got support in difficult times. These young men concentrated day and night on saving the life of the cow. He got relief only after getting timely treatment in the hospital. The video went viral on social media. Someone made a video of the entire incident and posted it on social media. The video quickly went viral. Not only in Rajasthan but people across the country are watching this video and praising this youth. People are writing on social media that this video is not just an incident but an inspiration for all of us. It teaches us that kindness and service require no resources.
