The allegation was that a house in the colony in Shastri Nagar, Khandari was booked from SP Singh, director of Singh State Private Limited. As advance, Rs 2 lakh was given by check and Rs 10 thousand in cash. The house could not be built because the case on the said land was pending in court. The builder returned only Rs 1.85 thousand. The victim filed a case. On 23 July 2009, the Commission ordered to pay the remaining Rs 15,000 with 12 percent annual interest, citing the claimant had no receipt for the payment of Rs 10,000 in cash. The builder appealed to the State Consumer Commission on the matter. After the appeal was dismissed there, the order of the subordinate court was upheld. The Commission issued a notice to the builder and forced him to deposit the amount. After the check was deposited, the commission chairman Sarvesh Kumar and member Rajeev Singh handed over the check to the plaintiff.
