Varanasi, October 4 (IANS). Mom to give new height to yoga education at Kashi Hindu University (BHU). Yoga courses will start. This two -year postgraduate course offered by the Department of Vedic Philosophy under Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Science Faculty will be divided into four semesters. The main focus of the course is on theoretical, practical and experimental aspects of the Patanjali yoga method. Students receive a thorough study from Patanjali Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita and other yoga texts, as well as practical training of yoga activities such as Asan, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha and Satkarma. The University Administration has kept the fees of this course much lower than other institutions, which is an attempt to realize Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya’s resolution ‘high quality education for low fee’. The admission process and reservation will correspond to the rules of the government of India and the University. This course begins with the long -standing question of teachers and students. BHU’s academic council met on September 27, in which the proposal was unanimously approved. According to the head of the department, this type of course is not available in any other university in the Purvancal region. This course seems to be extremely useful for the career of the students with the UGC who takes a net exam in the topic of yoga. Rajaram Shukla, head of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan Faculty, told Ians: “Our yoga is internationally recognized. Yoga is practiced with full respect in every people of the world. Now this two -year course is strengthened in the modern context.” Professor Shashikant Dwivedi of the Vedic Philosophy section said: “The course gives equally important to theoretical knowledge and practical training, so that students can apply yoga in life and society.” Current research student Sunakshu Tiwari said: “This course will be a prosperity for the youth of Purvancal, especially for exams like just.” Ex -Student Shivam Tiwari expressed enthusiasm, saying: “It is a matter of proud to get Yoga education from BHU, it will promote health and spiritual development.” -Ins Sch/DSC
