Sambhal, September 17 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government transferred 44 PPS (provincial police service) officials under the administrative reform on Wednesday night. Of these, 17 officers were made additional SP (additional superintendent of the police) of CO (Circle Officer), while 13 Deputy Posts were also changed. This step was taken with the aim of strengthening law and order and accelerating developmental works. The name of Sambhal’s famous Asp Anuj Kumar Chaudhary was also included in this list, which was sent to the post of additional SP (rural) in Firozabad. Anuj Chaudhary, who is a 2012 group PPS official, is known for his strict work style and innocent statements in Sambhal. He was admitted to sports quota and remained active internationally in wrestling. Recently, he received a promotion of the Deputy SPS, after which he was placed in Chandausi Circle. During the Sambhal violence (November 2024), his role and statements raised controversy, the SP acted by accusing him of making inflammatory statements. The SP -MP Ziaur Rahman Burke described the transfer as welcome in a conversation with Ians, although he also regretted the delay.
