‘UP Trade Show-Swadeshi Mela 2025’ concluded in Noida, sales worth Rs 1.5 crore

Noida, October 18 (IANS). The ten-day long ‘UP Trade Show-Swadeshi Mela 2025’ organized at Noida Haat Sector-33A concluded on a grand note on Saturday. The closing ceremony was presided over by Rajendra Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh. Yupicon consultant Pankaj along with officials of various departments and a large number of entrepreneurs, craftsmen and citizens who participated in the fair were present at the ceremony. At the concluding event, Assistant Commissioner Rajendra Kumar inspected various stalls set up in the fair. In these stalls, forest district forest products (ODOP), handicrafts, handlooms, clay crafts, wooden crafts, ready-made garments, household items and products produced by self-help groups were prominently displayed. While interacting with the artisans and women entrepreneurs, he appreciated the quality, design, packaging and marketing style of their products. Rajendra Kumar presented certificates to all the participants and honored the craftsmen who performed brilliantly with special honours. He said, “The Swadeshi fair is not only a mirror of the craftsmanship and traditional skills of the state, but it is also a significant step towards independent India. Such events play an important role in giving local products not only national but also international recognition.” During the event, special enthusiasm was seen among the citizens about indigenous products. People shopped enthusiastically, reinforcing their determination to be ‘vocal for local’. Total sales in the fair were recorded at 1,53,72,565, which shows that people’s interest is now rapidly increasing towards indigenous and handmade goods. Cultural presentations, live demonstrations and craft workshops further added to the appeal of the fair. Deputy Commissioner for Industries Anil Kumar said that this ten-day event was a strong platform for business expansion for the artisans and entrepreneurs of the state. Expressing his gratitude to all the participants and visitors, he said, “The success of the Swadeshi Fair is a symbol of the fact that with collective efforts, local products can be taken to the global market.
