UP: 'Vikas UP 2047' campaign received 35.5 lakh proposals, agricultural education rural development has become major issues

Lucknow, October 10 (IANS). Inspired by the decision to make Uttar Pradesh a developed state by the year 2047, ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh-developed Uttar Pradesh 2047: Centenary Festival of Prosperity Maha Abhiyan’ is quickly gaining momentum. In 75 districts of the state, nodal officers and intellectuals discussed the Vikas Yatra by organizing dialogue sessions with students, teachers, business people, farmers, voluntary organizations, trade unions, media and ordinary citizens. According to the campaign, more than 35.5 lakh proposals have so far received, of which 28 Lakh has been contributed from rural areas. 7.5 Lakh feedback comes from urban areas, while the youth have given almost half of the total proposals. Agriculture (8 Lakh), Education (9 Lakh) and Rural Development (7 Lakh) were the most important topics in the feedback received. Sectors such as health, livestock, IT, tourism, industry and security have also been widely discussed. In the district data, Sambhal, Jaunpur, Bijnor, Gorakhpur and Sonbhadra are in the top five districts, while relatively fewer proposals from Firozabad, Mahoba, Etawah, Bulandshahr and Fatehpur were received. Ramdarsh ​​Yadav, a public servant of Azamgarh, suggested that the district becomes an agricultural processing and textile nap. Processing centers for giants, pulses and oilseeds must be established and the export of its saerees from Mubarakpur should increase. Some window system should also be implemented for industrial investments. Rona Sagar of Firozabad recommended promoting medical and adventure tourism. On the lines of ‘Incredible India’, there must be global tourism brands in UP, and local communities must be connected. Lalitpur Raja Pratap emphasized modern agricultural techniques, drip irrigation, crop diversification, research, insurance schemes and organic farming. To give the campaign depth, meetings were held in 150 municipalities, 120 Nagar Panchayats, 40 District Panchayats and more than 27 thousand grams of Panchayats. In these sessions, the ordinary people shared their views on the development road map. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who describes the campaign as a ‘celebration of public participation’, said these proposals will become the basis for the development of 2047.
