For all the right reasons, a video of an 18-year-old blinking delivery agent became viral. In the cut, the young woman praises the security measures in Ayodhya and says the city is safe enough for her to work with confidence night shifts. The video, posted on Instagram by a user named Deep, confidently catches the young woman a question about women’s safety during solo night shifts in Ayodhya. Without exaggeration or hesitation, she clearly says that she feels safe – even as she produces orders as late as midnight. A man, while she recorded the video, says: “She (the woman) works in Ayodhya at midnight. She delivers pinches alone, even at 12 o’clock. She is only 18.” He then asked about her experience with safety. Without hesitation, the woman replies: “There is no fear of any kind of safety issues here. Women’s safety is not a problem in Ayodhya. There are the police’s wagons that patrol every 100 meters. I come home easily. Even my parents have stopped worrying.” She further explains that this was not always the case. “Earlier, this road was abandoned earlier, and the ghats didn’t feel safe. But now it’s the opposite. I’m still taking the same route, and it’s nothing like before,” she says. Ayodhya underwent a major transformation before the great inauguration of the ram Mandir on January 22, 2024. The city saw the launch of a new airport and a revamped railway station with modern facilities – stirs that facilitated the travel for the crores of pilgrims to the holy city.
