Lucknow Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (Upsida) played an important role in implementing the most important aspects of the state government policy associated with state development and industries of the state. In the past eight years, Upsida has a 320 percent increase in the allocation of the plot, 798 plots in 2024-25, compared to 191 in 2017-18. In addition, it gained a 360 percent increase in land allocation, in 2017-18 526 hectares were allocated in 2024-25 compared to 114 hectares. It also ensured a 347 percent increase in jobs, compared to 11,570 in 2017-18, 51.761 posts were created in 2024-25. According to the state government, operating income from upsida has increased to more than three times, which increased from £ 586 in 2019-20 to £ 1,900 crore in 2024-25.
