The 16th Finance Commission for Jharkhand Tour will assess the financial status of the state

Ranchi, May 28 (IANS). The 16th Finance Commission team reached Ranchi on a four -day visit to Jharkhand on Wednesday night. The Finance Commission team will assess the topics related to the economic status, financial management, central award, the use of the allocated amount assigned to the state and the social status of the state of the state. For this, the commission’s team will visit different areas of the state and discuss with the state government officials and various interest groups and listen to their side. Most of the 11 -member team of the commission reached Ranchi, who will only visit Doghar on May 29. After visiting the Baidyanath temple area there, this team holds a meeting with representatives of different bodies and Panchayats. The chairman of the Commission Arvind Panagariya will reach Doognhar directly from Delhi on this day and attend the meeting. Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high level meeting on Wednesday to review the preparations of the state government and the claims and reports that the state government placed before the commission’s visit. The chief minister asked officials to offer a road map for the development of the state before the Finance Commission. The needs of linking people of all divisions of the state to inclusive development must be clearly set out with the commission. According to sources, the state government will also submit before the commission to increase the stake in central taxes from 41 percent to 50 percent. There is also a preparation to claim special economic package for the development of the state. After visiting different areas of the state, on May 30, the Commission’s team will hold a meeting with all the Ministers and Officials of the State Government in Ranchi. In this meeting, the commission will take information on many other subjects, including the state’s financial status, management, spending the amount of the award, the use of central aid amount. The presentation will also be presented before the commission on the step the state government has taken towards social and economic empowerment. A memorandum will also be submitted to the commission on the needs associated with the expansion of irrigation facilities in the state, improving education and health structure, infrastructure, tourism and other agricultural work areas. The commission’s team will also talk to representatives of the most important political parties of Jharkhand on this day.
