Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the ‘Uttarakhand long term Sahitya Sevi Samman Samaroh’ on Sunday held in the Irdt Auditorium, Survey Chowk, Dehradun and addressed liters, poets and language lovers from across the state and country. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state government is doing concrete work to preserve, compile and restore the scattered literature of the state through Uttarakhand Language Institute. The government is also constantly making efforts to preserve local languages ​​and dialects, so that the coming generations will be associated with their rich linguistic heritage. He said that the literary and cultural heritage assigned by our ancestors is not just the heritage of our past, but the foundation of our identity and civilization, so it is the moral responsibility of us all to preserve it. He honored the Litterers Shailesh Matiani, Girish Tiwari, Sherda Illiterate, Heera Singh Rana Posthumous with the Uttarakhand long term literature Savvy Samman 2025. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said it was his happiness that he had the opportunity to honor the great literators who made Hindi language rich. He greeted all the literature seekers who do important work to bring cultural and literary heritage with their creativity to the new generation. He described Hindi as the expression of the soul and mirror of society and said that writers are true guides of the sensations of society. He said that literature gives new direction to society and also provides inspiration for positive changes. He underlined the role of poets and creators in India’s freedom movement, saying that creativity was also the basic basis of our scriptures and traditions. Chief Minister Dhami, in his speech, referred to the creators such as Sumitranandan Pant, Mahadevi Verma, Shailesh Matiani, Girda, Sher da ‘illiterate’ and ‘Hirda’, which referred to the creators of Uttarakhand, who refused to live in their compositions. He said that among contemporary creators, literators such as Atul Sharma, Prasoon Joshi and Uniyal promote this tradition. He said that the state government works with the full dedication to preserve and promote literature and culture. He informed that continuous efforts were being made for the development of Hindi and other Indian languages ​​by ‘Uttarakhand Language Institute’. The government honors the authors by ‘Uttarakhand Sahitya Gaurav Samman’, ‘Sahitya Bhushan’, ‘Life Time Achievement’ awards, and they are also encouraged by organizing creative writing competitions for the new generation. The Chief Minister announced during the ceremony that the prize money of Rs 5 Lakh was given to the literature under the ‘long -term literature Savi Samman’ who made an excellent contribution in the field of literature. At the same time, he also informed that two ‘Sahitya towns’ were established by the government, in which modern facilities would be provided for junks. This will make a significant progress in developing Uttarakhand as a literary tourist center. He said that we organize creative writing competitions for students from class 6 to grade and university level, which also rewarded more than 100 young creators. On the occasion of Hindi Day, we also honored 176 students who got the best place in different language competitions, including meritorious students who scored the highest marks in Hindi in high school and the state’s investigation into the state. Over the past two years, our government has also given grants to 62 liters for the publication of their books. Also this year we made a special budget of Rs 25 Lakh to encourage book publication. CM Dhami said that the literature of India has been worldwide for centuries because of the ideological prosperity, but that many literary heritage has unfortunately been neglected in the past. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the cultural and literary identity of the country gets new direction and respect. With this inspiration, the state government also makes ongoing efforts for the protection of local languages ​​and dialects.
