Uttar Pradesh: Ex-servicemen and home guards will be deployed in sub-registrar offices, there will be a major improvement in security system.

Noida, October 18 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government has taken an important decision to strengthen the security arrangements of sub-registrar offices across the state. Stamp and Registration Minister Ravendra Jaiswal said that ex-servicemen and home guards will now be deployed as security guards in a total of 380 sub-registrar offices of the state. The purpose of this decision is to ensure the security of records, property registration documents, computer systems and other important resources. In the letter sent by Chief Secretary Amit Gupta to the Inspector General of Registration, Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, it has been clarified that a total of 315 ex-servicemen and 789 home guards will be deployed under this arrangement. For this, the government has approved an annual budget of Rs 40.53 crore. This expense will be fully borne by the government level so that the security arrangements can be implemented without any hindrance. According to the government order, security services will be deployed by Uttar Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Corporation Limited and Home Guard Department. Inspector General of Registration has been directed to ensure the deployment of adequate number of security personnel as per minimum requirement and send his progress report to the government. It was specifically directed that security guards should be mandatorily deployed even in the sub-registrar offices operated in private premises or rented buildings. Apart from this, 789 home guards will be specially deployed in 269 offices of the state, for whose pay an amount of around Rs 3.37 crore has been earmarked. The government says that in view of the increasing digitization and workload of property registration, strengthening the security system is the need of the hour. The new system will not only ensure the security of documents and records, but will also develop a transparent and reliable working environment in the offices. The Chief Secretary also made it clear that the allocated budget must be used with complete transparency and rules and if any delay or negligence is noticed, administrative action will be taken against the responsible officers. This information was provided by Assistant Commissioner Stamp II Gautam Buddha Nagar Brijesh Kumar. With this decision of the government, it is expected that the security system in the registration offices of the state will get a new look. –IANS PKT/DSC Share this story Tags
