Uttar Pradesh: Record of devotees coming to Ayodhya has been broken, this number has crossed 23 crores this year.
Ayodhya, October 18 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government is going to celebrate the 9th Deepotsav on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya this year. Apart from the Ram Temple, the grandeur of Ayodhya has further increased due to the Deepotsav organized here every year for the last 8 years. Deepotsav increased the appeal of Ayodhya in the country and abroad. This is the reason why the number of tourists in Ayodhya is constantly increasing. Among these, there is a large number of Indian tourists and the interest of foreigners has also increased in the city of Lord Shri Ram. According to the data received from the Tourism Department, Deepotsav in Ayodhya started from the year 2017. Meanwhile, 1,78,32,717 Indian and 25,141 foreign tourists arrived here. So, in the year 2017 a total of 1,78,57,858 devotees visited Ramnagari. In the second year of Deepotsav in 2018, 1,95,34,824 Indians and 28,335 foreign nationals visited Ramnagari. So, a total of 1,95,63,159 people visited Ayodhya in the year 2018. Similarly, in the year 2019, a total of 2,04,91,724 devotees including 2,04,63,403 Indians and 38,321 foreigners visited Ayodhya. In the year 2020 there was a decrease in the number of tourists due to Corona. This year, a total of 61,96,148 tourists, including 61,93,537 Indians and 2,611 foreigners reached Ayodhya. In the year 2021, 1,57,43,359 Indian and 31 foreign tourists visited Ayodhya. A total of 1,57,43,390 devotees came to visit Ayodhya in 2021. Similarly, in the year 2022, 2,39,09,014 Indian and 1465 foreign tourists reached Ayodhya. A total of 2,39,10,479 tourists came here to visit Ayodhya. In 2023, 5,75,62,428 Indian and 8468 foreign tourists came. After this came 16,43,93,474 Indian and 26048 foreign devotees in 2024. At the same time, from January to June in 2025, a total of 23,82,14,737 devotees, including 23,81,64,744 Indians and 49,993 foreigners, arrived. The number of devotees coming to Ayodhya not only from the country but also from abroad is increasing. Due to the increasing number of devotees, employment in Ayodhya also began to increase rapidly. The Yogi Adityanath government of the state is rapidly developing Ayodhya. Ayodhya is connected by excellent four lane and six lane roads.
