Uttarakhand reported a £ 5,310 crore revenue surplus in the financial year 2022–23, according to a controller and auditor -general (CAG) report. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the performance, saying the revenue surplus highlighted Uttarakhand’s commitment to transparency, accountability and economic confidence. The state is now under the states with an income surplus for the year, which highlights a significant improvement in its financial situation. CM Dhami credited the performance to effective management and management measures. “It’s not just a statistical achievement, but a strong step toward Uttarakhand’s economic confidence and prosperous future,” he said, adding that the state is progressing with an emphasis on transparency, accountability and fiscal discipline. Uttarakhand’s income according to a Niti Aayog report was Uttarakhand’s total revenue receipts in FY 2022-23 about 17.2 percent of its gross state’s domestic product (GSDP), while total expenses were about 19.9 percent. Meanwhile, in 2022-23, the state had a 0.8 percent revenue surplus of GSDP.
