Uttarakhand IAS Association suggests on the statement related to the illegal exploitation of BJP MP
The State -Association accepted a resolution on Sunday, amid controversy over the alleged remark of the BJP -LP Trivendra Singh Rawat on the issue of illegal mining, saying that its members should be treated with proper respect. In a meeting held here under the chairmanship of the President of Uttarakhand IAS Association, the association said in its resolution that its members also have the right to respect themselves. Any person, officer, institution and organization should avoid such statements that the members of the association were injured. Uttarakhand Ias Association secretary Dilip Jalletary said he also decided to send this proposal as a memorandum to the main minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The association accepted the resolution after a recently given ‘controversial’ statement by MP and former chief minister of the state of Rawat. Rawat recently raised the issue of illegal mining in Uttarakhand in parliament, claiming that illegal mining trucks in Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udhamsingh Nagar districts were running. He claims to run in trucks at night without a valid consent and overload, which harms the citizens’ infrastructure. Minister of Mining, Brijesh Kumar Sant, described the allegations as ‘unfounded, false and misleading’, saying that the greatest evidence of this is the biggest increase in mining income in the current financial year after the establishment of Uttarakhand. “This is the first time the target set for mining income has not only been achieved, but RS 200 crore has earned more than that.” In response to the response from the secretary, Rawat, while talking on a private channel, said he had nothing else to say and allegedly used offensive words.
