SDM Rahul Anand said that 400 meters of drinking water pipeline was damaged due to a disaster in Makarti Village, facing about 50,000 people with the water crisis. The Garhwal Jalsthan has assured that drinking water supply will be restored within 24 hours. Superintendent engineer Rajiv Saini of Dehradun Garhwal Jalsthan said that the employees of the department work day and night, so that the water supply can start in the areas concerned as soon as possible. The disaster has caused many families deep shock. The SDM met Ajay Kumar in Makarti Village, who recently passed the Recruitment investigation of Delhi police, but lost his parents in the disaster. The city administration also planned to rebuild shops and homes. SDM Rahul Anand said there is a plan to develop Makarthi Village as a tourism center, for which development works will be done on a war foot.
