Uttarakhand: Strict action against those wearing rides in private vehicles in Rudraprayag, the warning of the Department of Transport
Rudraprayag, September 13 (IANS). The divisional transport division in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, announced strict action against the riders during the second phase of Kedarnath Yatra by private license plate vehicles. The department has issued a warning to sharpen such activities so that the damage caused to commercial (commercial) managers can be prevented. Complaints from private numbers of vehicles carrying passengers on other tourist spots, including Kedarnath Yatra, is constantly coming forward. If he takes note of this, the Assistant Regional Transportation Officer (Arto) Rudraprayag Dharmendra Bish said: “Many times it has been seen that owners of private vehicles take passengers and local passengers via booking. This causes financial loss to owners of commercial vehicles and drivers with yellow license plate.” He said two such private vehicles were caught during the recent check operation against whom the rules were taken. Bhagwan Singh Bisht, secretary of Mandakini Taxi Union, and the vehicle owner Sunil Cantura expressed deep concerns about the issue. He said: “Passengers are carried by vehicles with private numbers, causing us to suffer heavy losses. In this regard, we have given written and oral complaints to Artos.” He demanded that strict legal action be taken on private vehicles so that commercial drivers could get relief. The Department of Transport made it clear that the control campaign against private vehicles that violates the rules would be strengthened. According to the rules, private numbers may not carry the ride, and this can lead to actions such as fine, seizure on vehicles or cancellation of the license. The department also called on the public to use only registered commercial vehicles. It is believed that this step of the department will not only protect the interests of local taxi unions, but will also smooth the safety and transport system of passengers. -Ians SCH/DSC shares this story tags
