National Commission for Women to hold public trial of women in Bengaluru on October 13

Bengaluru/New -Delhi, October 9 (IANS). The National Commission for Women (NCW) takes a step forward in addressing woman issues at grassroots level, and organizing ‘National Commission for Women – Your Doorstep’ – Public Trial of Women in Bengaluru. The purpose of this public hearing is to solve the pending cases associated with women and to correct their complaints quickly. According to the official statement issued by the commission, Vijaya Rahatkar, chairman of the women’s commission for women, will also take part in this hearing held on October 13 at noon. Senior officials, including district magistrates, police superintendents and other key officials, will also participate in ensuring effective and timely solution to women related to women. Vijaya Rahatkar will be on a three-day visit to Bengaluru from 12 to 14 October 2025. During her visit, she holds review meetings with senior administrative and police officers and will also meet the general secretary and other senior officials of the state government. To promote digital empowerment among women, the National Commission for Women ‘Yashoda AI’ program, including women across India, manages to be trained in artificial intelligence. Under this initiative, a training session for women in Bengaluru will be arranged. The commission will also organize a ‘Campus Call’ program in Bengaluru to raise awareness among the youth about women’s rights and gender sensitivity. The National Commission for Women calls on women from Bengaluru and surrounding areas to attend the public hearing and present their grievances directly before the commission.
