The Minister of Health will leave for Sumenep Handi KLB measles
Jakarta -Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin opened his voice related to the measles case in Sumenep, East Java. Previously, the measles case in Sumenep was declared an extraordinary event (KLB) after 17 people were killed. The area also noted that 2,035 suspected cases were distributed across 26 districts. The Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia) said the majority of the deaths of measles did not have a history of immunization. Most patients die from measles are toddlers. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes), said immunization associated with measles in Sumenep is relatively low. According to him, there are various reasons why parents do not provide vaccination to children. “Many people (reasons for the family do not want to vaccinate children). There are those associated with religion, afraid because there will be side effects,” Prof. Dante on Monday (8/25) told reporters at the Brin office, Central Jakarta. “Actually, we examined it.
