This is a very good movement,” Gibran said. Gibran also appreciates the different agricultural innovations that have been displayed. He has encouraged the use of modern technology such as drones and artificial intelligence (AI) to be applied more in the agricultural sector. “I hope that more young people will be involved in research in the future and the use of modern equipment in agriculture. Including innovations in the processing of wheat after harvesting in flour, ethanol, plastic substitutes and animal feed,” he said. Previously, General Sigit said that the national police carried out different innovations to support food security programs. One is the use of superior hybrid seeds p27 and Tekno Migo Precisi Bhayangkara Fertilizer. These two innovations can increase crop yields. “To support the food security program, we performed different innovations some time ago, one of which is the use of superior p27 hybrid seed and Migo precisei Bhayangkara Techno fertilizer fertilizers to increase crop yields from 4 tonnes per hectare to 9 to 14 tonnes per hectare,” General Sigit said. Organic waste such as vegetable and fruit pieces, dry leaves and kitchen waste are also processed in eco-enzymes and compost. “Apart from that, we also grow rabbits in the Bangka Belitung Province, where we use the rabbit drops as organic fertilizer,” he said. In an effort to increase soil fertility, National Police, along with Lambung Mangkurat University, have processed wetlands with a pH acid level below 5 in a productive soil using stone from Korea. This innovation is able to neutralize acidity and increase the pH of the soil. In a 5 -acre wetland in South Calimantan, four crops were exported with an average production of 8 tonnes per hectare. “To support soil productivity, national police also use the solar pump technology that uses solar panels with a capacity of 5.680 watts to manage water pumps. This technology supports agricultural irrigation systems in an efficient and environmentally friendly way,” he said. On the other hand, he revealed that the national police also use water gene technology that is capable of producing 100 to 350 liters of clean water per day from air moisture. According to him, this technology provides a solution to dry agricultural areas, so that the availability of water can be maintained to support productivity. (AIK/ISA)
