Village chief in West Kalimantan raped niece 8 times, revealed because of FB post

Bengkayang – The police arrested the village chief with the initials FS (50) in Siding District, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan (Kalbar) for raping his own niece. The offender promised to marry the victim. “During the investigation, the perpetrator admitted that he made his nephew his girlfriend and promised to marry him after the victim finished school,” said head of criminal investigation unit for Bengkayang Police, AKP Anuar Syarifudin, as reported by detikKalimantan, Thursday (16/10/2025). FS forced the victim to have sex as man and woman up to eight times. The perpetrator also threatened that the victim would be expelled from school if he did not comply with his wishes. Scroll to continue content “Apart from promising to marry him, the perpetrator also threatened that the victim would be expelled from school if he refused the perpetrator’s wishes,” he said. The perpetrator was arrested on 6 October 2025. This case was discovered because the perpetrator uploaded a photo of the victim pretending to be in love on Facebook (FB). “(The reason for uploading the victim’s photo) was because, according to the perpetrator’s confession, he felt that he was dating the victim,” he added. The offender was detained at the Bengkayang Police Headquarters. The offender was charged with Section 81 in conjunction with Section 76 D of Act Number 17 of 2016 regarding Determination of Government Regulations in lieu of Act Number 1 of 2016 on the Second Amendment to Act Number 23 of 2002 on Child Protection.
