These decisions were made on Friday at a meeting of the executive committee held in New Delhi chaired by NMCG Director General Rajiv Kumar Mittal. Jal Nigam asked in the city for five years to close money to close the drains that fall into the Ganges. Now, together with the closure of 14 drains falling into the Ganges and the Pandu River, the Zonal pump station will also be built. These drains should be closed in two years. If you close this, about 14 crore liter of infected water will fall into the Ganges and Pandu River daily. At the moment, a total of 33 drains fall into the Ganges. It has 27 drains in urban area and six drains in Bithoor. 14 drains also fall into the Pandu River. From this, Jal Nigam sent a detailed action plan to drop five drains into the Ganges and nine drains in the Pandu River. In this, Ranighat Nala, Golaghat, Sattichora, Dabka, Rameshwar Nala fall into the Ganges. At the same time, nine drains, including Halwakhara, Zecharpuri, Dirty Nala, Arra Nala, Panki Thermal, Pipori Nala, in the Pandu River. Now this decision will give a new direction to the city’s drainage and sanitation system. Under this project, the sewage that falls directly from the drains into the river will be transported to the treatment centers by the proposed sewer pump stations and manhole. In this, a one -year operation and maintenance system was also corrected. At the same time, the project was related to intercept, distraction, STP and other related works in Moradabad zone-3 and 4 for ‘prevention of pollution in Ramganga River’. This project costs Rs 409.93 crore to release Ramganga River pollution. Under the project, a modern sewerage treatment plant is built with 15 MLD in zone-3 and 65 MLD capacity in zone-4. In addition, five large drains are stopped and distracted. The scheme also proposes a 50 KLD capacity co-treatment facility, which will make water management more effective. Not only is this project limited to construction, but it also includes operations and maintenance for the next 15 years. The development of the state policy and business model for safe use of treated water and a Padcast series for NMCG has also been approved. The committee approved the production of a special documentary film entitled ‘Bots of the Ganga Basin: Riverine and Meritime Heritage’.
