Viral ‘Retired Thug’ Epy Stall in South Jakarta Visited by Thugs, Police Search

Jakarta – It went viral on social media that the stall where famous couple Epy Kusnandar, the ‘Preman Pensiun’ player, and his wife Karina Ranau sell in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta (Jaksel), was visited by thugs. The police are investigating. Seen by detikcom on Karina Ranau’s social media account, Monday (20/10/2025), it appears that Karina was involved in an argument with someone who called Karina a thug. The thugs apparently asked for thugs’ quota (japrem) or illegal levies (pungli). Karina complained that her newly opened food stall was approached by thugs. Karina also looked emotional and cried. PAGE TO CONTINUE CONTENT “The matter of food is small, but the method is not so, we do not stay tired here, we come in the morning,” said Karina. “If you’re a thug, be polite. People new to selling are just trying to be bothered. Don’t be rude to thugs, come face to face with me. We’ve only been open since the 2nd, but we don’t like the way they’re doing it. We’re not here to pay, we’re tired,” said Karina. Contacted separately, Pasar Minggu Police Chief Commissioner Anggiat Sinambela said his party was investigating this matter. Anggiat appealed to parties who feel aggrieved to make a police report immediately. “It was monitored. No one on IG (Instagram) came to the Sector Police,” Anggiat said when asked. “Those who feel aggrieved are encouraged to come and report it to the Sector Police,” he added.
