Jakarta – An online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver fell victim to a stabbing by his own passenger in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta (Jaksel). Ojol accepts orders from passengers offline, not via the app either. The news of the ojol sting also went viral on social media (social media). Judging by the video that is doing the rounds, the motorcycle taxi driver has already been carried on a stretcher to be put in the ambulance. PAGE TO CONTINUE CONTENT In the video, it is explained that the incident where an ojol driver was stabbed by a passenger who ordered offline happened on Monday (13/10) around 10.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the head of criminal investigation unit for the Kebayoran Baru police, Commissioner Suparmin, confirmed the incident. “Yes, we got it out of there, people reported to Bhabin, Bhabin called us, to Criminal Investigation. The incident happened at 09:30 WIB in the morning. We checked the crime scene. We took the victim to the hospital,” Suparmin said when confirmed by journalists, Friday (17/10/2025). Suparmin said that the motorcycle taxi driver is currently still being treated in hospital. They have just received information that the victim does not know the passenger. “The statement is, someone stabbed him, he said he didn’t know him,” Suparmin said. He also said there was no CCTV at the scene. He said the location of the stabbing was different from the location where the ojol fell after being stabbed. “The place where he was found when he fell and was helped was not there. It was not the place where he was stabbed,” he said. He explained that he is still investigating this matter. Including the reasons why the alleged perpetrator committed the stabbing. However, he confirmed that none of the ojol driver’s belongings were missing. “Because the news was that they were robbed and stabbed. There were no items, nothing was taken,” he concluded. (azh/azh)
