Vivian Wilson, the transgender daughter of Elon Musk, makes Nyfw Runway debut in Bold Show for Trans Rights
Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of billionaire Elon Musk, made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week on Friday and walked into the mighty, politically theme show in designer Alexis Bittar. The 21-year-old model and an influence gave the stage as ‘Miss South Carolina’ during Bittar’s Miss. USA 1991 presentation performed-a pageant-inspired display window that highlighted the transiques in countries where they are currently threatening. “I deliberately threw all transubs that represent states where transright was stripped (sic),” Bittar said in a statement. Wilson, who is transgender, wore a glittering, short-sleeved-red gown, accompanied by fat gold earrings and one of Bittar’s signature scissors connections from his spring 2026 collection. In a joint Instagram post with Wilson, Bittar praised her and wrote: “Thank you for trusting me @vivllainous and for honoring me with your first show as Miss South Carolina (sic).” He also described the presentation as a story about ‘misogy, untouched predators, objectification and transright’. Wilson, who uses the Instagram handle @vivllainous, confirmed that it was her first official runway program, although she is not strange on stage. In May, she performed during the season 10 premiere of Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars in New York, where she filmed and danced in front of a lively audience. Why are Elon and Vivian alienated? The fashion debut comes months after Wilson made headlines because he publicly criticized her father, Elon Musk, for killing herself on social media – a term referring to the use of the birth name of a trans person after changing it as part of their gender transition. Wilson, who legally changed her name and cut off the ties with Musk in 2022, remained mostly private, but used her platform to support LGBTQ+ visibility.
