Waka MPR encourages the realization of the 7 great Indonesian child habits
Jakarta – Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian MPR Lestari Moerdijat (Rerie) supports efforts to improve the quality of national human resources (HR). One of them is through the application of healthy living habits from an early age. “Several attempts to realize national quality human resources must be supported by all parties so that we can catch up in the global competition,” Rerie said in her statement on Sunday (9/14/2025). Last week, the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikdasmen) issued a circular number 14 of 2025 regarding the optimization of the implementation of the seven major Indonesian child habits (7 KaiH movement). Browse to continue with the content of the habits of large Indonesian children who will be realized include waking up, worshiping, exercising, practicing, eating, loving leather, social and enough sleep. The policy was a follow -up of a circular with the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Number 1 of 2025, Minister of Home Affairs Number 800.2.1/225/SJ, and the Minister of Religion Number 1 of 2025 regarding the strengthening of character education by the residential unit. According to Rerie, the policy must be realized immediately, as a number of records become a challenge to realize the next generation of the country’s competitiveness in the future. In the Indonesian nutritional status (SSGI) 2022, for example, the incidence of stunting in the country is still at 21.6% or almost 22 of 100 toddlers in Indonesia cognitive and physical development disorders. The same data also noted that 34.4% of young women and 20.3% of young men had anemia. The condition not only causes weakness, but can also have a serious influence on the quality of their health in the future. Rerie believes that efforts to realize healthy living in the community in the form of movements should have the support of all parties. The same understanding and spirit, says Rerie, must be realized immediately so that the policy made immediately can be applied. “I hope that stakeholders at central and regional level can work well together to achieve the 7 Kaih movement to bear the next generation of the country’s competitiveness in the future,” he concluded.
