Wall Street Today: US Stocks Open Unchanged Ahead of Tesla Results, Netflix Falls 8%

US stocks opened broadly unchanged on Wednesday as investors awaited earnings results from electric vehicle giant Tesla later today. Wall Street analysts expect the company owned by Elon Musk to announce positive earnings, following strong sales in the third quarter. This sales surge occurred as US consumers rushed to take advantage of an EV tax credit cut by President Donald Trump. At 9:30 a.m., Netflix shares were down 8.2% after missing earnings expectations. Beyond Meat shares climbed a further 48.9%, a day after the plant-based meat maker’s shares soared 146%.
