Waqf Bill will be helpful in the development of society: Deepak Kesarkar

Mumbai, April 3 (IANS). Political statements continue after the WAQF (amendment) Bill, 2025 was approved in the Lok Sabha. The people of the ruling party call it beneficial, while the people of the opposition call this bill against the Constitution. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Deepak Kesarkar described it as a positive step and said that it would be beneficial to society in a long time. Deepak Kesarkar told the IANS news agency on Thursday that the WAQF council was running the properties and that the income from these assets is used for education and welfare schemes. This bill will be useful in the development of society. Kesarkar also welcomes the fact that the district magistrates have now gained more rights. The district magistrate already owns all income records, and now the rights they have will speed up the verification process. At the same time, Deepak Kesarkar knocked out the attitude of SHIV Sena (UBT) on the Waqf Amendment Bill, saying that the UDDHAV faction left the field. He left Bala Saheb Thackeray’s ideology. They now have no clear view, and they are deviated from the basics of the party. It is noteworthy that the WAQF Amendment Bill was booked in the Lok Sabha for more than 12 hours on Wednesday and voted late at night. 288 MPs voted in favor of the bill, while 232 MPs voted in contrast to the bill, after which the bill was approved in the Lok Sabha. In addition, Deepak Kesarkar also responded to the dispute of comedian Kunal Kamra. He said it is a conspiracy to sell the image of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. I myself am a witness who I never personally showed the greed of power. He always had a clear attitude, each party has its own ideology and we have to walk accordingly. -Ians PSK/Ekd Share this Story Tags
