25 people died due to lightning and hailstorm in Bihar
Officials said at least 25 people died in many districts Bihar in lightning and hailstorm on Thursday. According to a statement issued by the office of the Chief Minister (CMO), 18 people died in Nalanda, followed by two in Siwan, one person each in Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Jehanabad. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar achieved the deaths and announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4-4 Lakh to the victims’ family. Wednesday, 13 people died due to lightning in four districts of Bihar. The Indian Meteorological Department released ‘Orange Alert’ (prepared) for many districts, including Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Kishangan, Araria, Supaul, Gaya, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Nalanda, Nawada and Patna. Heavy rain is also expected in these districts on Friday and Saturday. IMD said in the Bulletin: “Madhubani, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Western Champaran, Kishanganj, Araria, Supaul, Gaya, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Nalanda, Patna, Patna are expected to lift lights and strong winds (40-50 km per hour). After heavy rains on Thursday, there were also reports of the weakening in many parts of Patna. The capital recorded an average of 42.6 mm of rainfall until 17:30. However, Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and district administration officials claimed that the rainwater was drained in the shortest time despite heavy rain. Share this story -tags
