Political unrest in India has tightened after the press conference in New -Delhi was held by Foreign Minister Khan Muttaqi in New Delhi. Women’s journalists were not invited to the press conference, after which opposition leaders raised questions about the central government. Muttaqi replied by saying, “We didn’t choose the women” and expressed the hope that the relationship between India and Afghanistan would improve. “We didn’t stop women” – Muttaqi Afghan Buindy Minister said, “We will try to further strengthen the relations. Increase the dialogue and improve the situation. We are people of the same region, we can speak each other’s languages. We have not stopped women.” Muttaqi said his goal to come to India was to meet Darul Uloma Deoband, the government of India and political personalities. He said that efforts would be made in the future to strengthen trade and political relations between India and Afghanistan. Why were women journalists not called? This press conference was held at the Afghan Embassy in Delhi by Foreign Minister S. The conversation with Jaishankar took place a few hours later. The Indian side suggested the inclusion of women’s journalists, but it is believed that the list of journalists was prepared by Taliban officials. The Indian government said the Foreign Ministry had no role in this incident. Opposition -targeted Premier Modi. Congressmen Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, P. Chidambaram and TMC -LP Mahua Moitra attacked the central government over this incident. Priyanka Gandhi wrote on social media, “Prime Minister Modi, please explain why female journalists from the Taliban press conference were removed in India? If your words about women’s rights are right, how can this insult happen?” Rahul Gandhi said: “If your women’s journalists leave the stage, you show every woman in India that you cannot stand up for them.” P. Chidambaram called on the journalists that in such cases male journalists should have emerged and protested. Mahua Moitra also said that religious freedom is strictly followed in India, but that a foreign fundamentalist is allowed to discriminate against women – that is a contradiction. Muttaki avoids questions about women’s rights and says that each country has its own traditions. The Taliban regime in Afghanistan has long been accused of limiting women’s rights.
