Leh, September 26 (IANS). LBA chief Dorje Lakkruk expressed regret on Friday about the violence in Leh. He said in a conversation with the news agencies that our people never advocated violence. We have never been a proponent of violence. But it certainly cannot be rejected that the frustration of unemployed youths peaked. Just as the pressure cooker is blown after a time, the anger of our unemployed youth has reached its peak and blew. At the same time, he said that not only Rahul Gandhi, but others also have to call on peace in Leh. I’ve never been a proponent of violence. We have been quiet for some time. We tried to make our demands on the central government. However, it is sad that the situation in Leh became tense. He said the government is trying to hide its failure by accusing Congress or any other element of violence, which should not be accepted at the expense of. The government must determine the responsibility. The government cannot run away from its responsibility. After questioning the involvement of foreign hand behind this violence, he said at the same time that if the foreign forces are behind this entire violence, my simple question is what the government is doing. The government must make its role clear. The government must make it clear who is behind it. Again, I reiterate that the government avoids its responsibility, which cannot be accepted at all costs. He said that this violence because of the inspiration of the protests that “Jenji” has done in Nepal recently that I can say nothing about it. I have no idea of this. So I can’t comment on it. He rejected the NIA claim to investigate the Leh violence. He said there is no question of the investigation into the Leh violence with the NIA, because it is not a case of a terror. Apart from this, I also make it clear that if this whole violence is investigated by the NIA, then an attempt will be made to discredit the people of Leh, which we cannot tolerate at any cost. -Ians shk/dsc share this story tags
