'Well thin atika', cm Abdullah congratulated Jammu and Kashmir's first Formula 1 -Ren Talent

Srinagar, September 25 (IANS). Jammu and the chief minister of Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, congratulated Atika Mir, the first Formula 1 racing talent of the Union area, on Thursday. Atika recently finished fourth in the European Mapping Championships held in Slovakia. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while he wished atika, hoped that one day she would be the Formula 1 races on top. He wrote on social media platform X, “Well thin, atika. His natural talent and passion for racing is clearly visible. I hope the day is not far away when he will be the first Kashmiri participating in the biggest competition of car racing (Formula 1). Continue with your good work, Atika, always.” Atika Mir, a Srinagar resident, is the first girl in India and Asia selected for the ‘Discover Your Drive’ program of Formula 1 Academy. Recently, she finished fourth in the European Mapping Championships in Slovakia to finish fourth in India and women’s category. Atika’s father (former formula Asia manager Asif Nazir Mir) is his inspiration. Atika has been in the vague since the age of six. In 2022-23 she was a runner-up at the Mini-Cat category at the UAE iame National Carting Championships. In 2025 he got podium finish in the Iame Summer Cup at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. In 2024, she became the first Indian women’s manager to qualify for the final of the Rotax Euro trophy in South Garda, Italy. In the same year he takes France. Rotax Max Challenge in Mains created history by winning the race in the Micro Max category international trophy. In 2025, Atika attended the WSK mapping series at the Babres Driver Academy in Italy. In 2024, she was the only Asian manager selected for the Iron Ladies Young Talent program. She was selected in the ‘Discover Your Drive’ program of Formula 1 Academy in 2025 and AKCEL GP, Carting Team, associated with the UAE Formula 1 Academy, signed her. Atika was born in Srinagar, and she moved to Dubai at a young age. He started chasing electric cars as a hobby before going to professional mapping.
