In the Munger police line, the police administration took a major step on the charge of illegal recovery in the name of medical examination of newly appointed soldiers and Sumit Kumar arrested and jailed him. This action was taken on the instructions of Munger SP Syed Imran Masood. The SP said that 334 newly appointed women and male police staff joined the district. The process of verification and medical examination of their newspapers was underway. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Sarageant Sumit Kumar, placed in the police line, calls some newly appointed soldiers and says his medical examination report has failed, but if they give Rs 2500 per person, they will be passed. Upon receipt of the information, the SP formed a special investigative team, which includes the line DSP and other officials. The investigation confirmed the allegations and 36 thousand rupees recovered from the soldiers for illegal recovery. In addition, the recovery of bank transactions has also been confirmed. SP Masood said Sergeant Sumit was involved in this illegal recovery. No other policeman’s involvement was found in the investigation. He said that Sumit Kumar was immediately suspended and that departmental disciplinary action was recommended against him. A FIR has been submitted to the former Sarai police station in this regard. After proving the complaint, he was produced in court and sentenced to jail. SP Syed Imran Masood said that Munger Sergeant Sumit tried to raise money illegally by threatening the newly appointed soldiers.
